I wanted to start this blog to explain to people what is going on out here in Agriculture in America today 2009. I also want to show people how i am surviving it along with my family. The good, the bad, the ups and downs. I don't think the average American knows what in the hell is going on out there and its pretty rough.

We rent a dairy farm here in beautiful Ashville, New York. It is located near Chautaqua Lake. Nice to visit in the summer, but the summer people run out of here just as soon as they see geese flying. We are known as "The Locals" in the summer and just normal folks in winter i guess. We get about a million inches of snow here so the vacationers dont stick around after it starts cooling down (afraid of getting caught here and having to stay all winter i guess).
